Which is preferable: buying fake handbags or renting designer handbags?

In bucking the occasional social stigma of having a fake item, fake handbags have become really popular among many women young and old. There’s obvious legality issues, but it seems not to be taken much more seriously than copying music. It’s also typically not too hard to find a decent source for a good knock off.

However, renting for temporary usage is certainly an option to always get the best of the best at a price that won’t break the bank. You can always rent from a trusted rental store such as Bag Borrow or Steal or Adorn Brides (for jewelry).

A third alternative to just buy the new, real designer handbags. But if you’re on any sort of budget, this severely limits the selection you’re generally able to afford.

Or maybe the fourth alternative is to buy used goods. Many rental stores such as Bag Borrow or Steal offer this option as well. There’s still the stigma of used goods with this option though.

The same could be applied to jewelry. Would you rather buy a cubic zirconia or rent a beautiful ensemble of diamonds for your special day?

My thought is that the bigger the special the event, the more that a high-end rental becomes appealing. You can live the Hollywood dream!

At the end of the day, it’s a highly personal choice whether to rent or buy (fake or real). But take a real hard look at rental.

Anything that does not have the “used” stigma attached should almost always be looked at from a rental possibility. As well, if you want to go all out, rental gives you an option not to compromise but also stay within a reasonable budget. You’ll stretch and enjoy the money you do have to spend!
